Only Jesus

I pray everyday that I grow more,
to love Jesus more,
to show people Jesus in my life,
and above all that I would
introduce at least
one person to Jesus.

I can say my life is not mediocre at all,
However it may seem mediocre,
I fight in wars daily,
Unseen battles fought hourly.

Through everything,
I cannot rely on human,
They can be my support,
Or be the ones who tear me down.

My heart and soul cries out for love,
For satisfaction,
for peace and above all,
For Jesus.

Why Jesus, you may ask.
Jesus, why?
He alone died for me
He alone can restore me.

Jesus alone can satisfy my heart and soul,
My complete peace is in Jesus
My complete hope is in Jesus,
And my whole life is Jesus.

I pray everyday that I grow more to be like Jesus.
Daily I desire Jesus more.

I love You Jesus.

Life

Life is life... You all might have heard of this from me from time to time.
But life happens, it is life.
How else do you describe life?
One breathes, one sees, one touches and go through things that is called "life".

It is so beautiful,
no matter how difficult things can get,
no matter how joyous things can get.

Life... Just saying it makes me think of what the Lord had done to me,
taking my life, crushing it and make it all new again.

Take my life?
Yep, my life is crushed and dead.
Only the life I have now is from the Lord, and it belongs to Him completely.

Sure I do go through ups and downs, that is a part of living here in this imperfect and dark world, but only through this life, I can thank the Lord more and more for His faithfulness and His grace.

There are times when I knew I failed miserably,
the light from the Lord reveals to me that I still have hope.

Certainly I am not perfect at all, I do not want to be perfect,
I just want to be blameless, without blemishes.

How I love life,
Because Jesus is my life,
Because my life is Jesus,
and life is beautiful.

Summer 2010

So... Here I am midway through my summer vacation.

I have missed my family, my baby (a dog.. yeah..) and the land. I am truly blessed to have a place to call home. But know what? This home is not my permanent home. It is no where to be found here on Earth. My permanent and true home is with Yahweh, where Yeshua has a place made and planned out for me.

Being home has been wonderful. About a month in, I got to go to Dominican Republic for a mini mission trip. It was for almost exactly a week.
I truly enjoyed getting to know more of sisters and brothers in Christ in the group I traveled with. They have taught me a lot about myself and about the Lord. I am truly blessed by the people in the group and the trip will forever change my life, yet again! Upon returning, I am more grateful for little things, like toilet seat and hot showers, fresh running tap water that I can drink from and non-humidity.

I truly believe that everyone should go on a short-term mission trip, no matter how short of a short trip it might be, but to get to know the people in the country, to eat and sleep where real people eat and sleep, to see the real part of the country, not the tourist and "American" part of the country. To work with them and serve them. By seeing the people as they really are, we grow to love them and desire to bring them the wonderful Good News of Yeshua Christ.
When we become grateful, we see and know the blessings we really have, a relationship with Yeshua Christ and sisters and brothers in Christ.
Without a relationship with Yeshua, our life has no meaning.

Throughout the first half of the summer break, I learned something. I was hurt and was sad from time to time. But I am not worried because the Lord is with me and I am comforted by the promise the Lord has given me, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." [Joshua 1:9]
The Lord is GOOD ALL THE TIME. Not most of time, not almost always, not sometimes, but ALL the time!

I know I have made my mistakes in my life for the past year, and I reflect on them to learn and know what to do in similar situations. Praise the Lord that I want to learn from them.

I am looking forward to what the Lord has planned for the school year of 10-11. I bet it is going to be a great year! For me and for my friends!

Over the first half of summer, I also learned a lot of what the Lord has planned for my life and I am very thrilled to live out His plan!! I have only seen glimpses of the Lord plan in my life and I look forward to seeing the rest of the plan! There is nothing else I want in my life, but to have a relationship with Yeshua and live out His WONDERFUL and perfect plan. I do not want to take one step out of His will. He will show me what I need to do and I have nothing to worry about. I am so excited!

My friends, you know who you are, I miss you so very much! I look forward to the day we meet again and the times we will spend together being ourselves and glorify the Lord together! Let us praise the Lord!
PRAISE THE LORD!

Mucho amo!
Besos y abrazos!

Mother's Day 2010

Here I am sitting where I am, not at home, not at school, but somewhere very far from my home.

Today is the Mother's Day, and I do not get to see my mom this day. This is the first Mother's Day in my whole life that I do not get to see her and give her a hug and thank her for being my Mommy.

My mom have gone through a lot growing up herself then she went through even so more raising 3 beautiful girls. I know that without her lead in my life, I would not be the same lady I am today. She was very patient when I was not, very kind when I was at my worst, very gracious when I was terrible.

I thank the Lord for His gift to me, Yeshua and a wonderful mother, my Mommy.

Teresa Kay,
My Mommy,
I love you so very much.
See you soon!!! <3

Your little girl,

Two Breaths

One day, you are born.
You took your first breath.

The next day, you are on your death bed
Taking your last breath.

All in the between,
Life happened.
You took many breaths.

With each breath,
life is remembered,
then forgotten.

From your first breath
To your last.

Your life is just a twilight in the sky
Quickly passing.

On your death bed,
You ask, "What comes next?"

You remember your first breath.
Now you are taking your last.

You remember your each breath,
Each wound,
Each happiness.

All you have seen in your life
Is now passing by your eyes.

Grasping at each of them,
They fall through your fingers.

Each breath
Brings forth a vapor.

One day only brings the next.
Time falls through your fingers,
In vain, you attempt to stop it.

As you exhale,
Your chest falls,
Only to not rise again.

Your soul falls from your body,
You try to grasp your body,
Willing yourself to live.

Falling,
You wonder where you are going.

In two breaths,
Your life came and went.

So, I can't sleep.

Yepper, I can't sleep.

There's way too much going on in my mind. It's like a motor that has a never-ending supply of gas. *urgh*

First of all.. I have a saddening news. It is off. The wedding is off. The engagement is off. Please, please, please do not be asking. I do not want to explain it. It is a long story. And out of respect for him, I am not going to detail anything, except that there is no wedding. Between him and I, for that matter. The reason for this information is more and more people are learning of this fact day to day. I decided to share so everyone who reads this blog will know for once. No explanation, ok?

Anyways.. I cannot sleep. There is so much going on. And I truly am looking forward to this semester even so more! Weird, after such an emotional drain before coming back to Gallaudet this semester, I thought I would not be able to face anything or anyone here. But praise the Lord! The Lord has given me the strength I need and joy and peace.

Pray for a revival to come to Gallaudet! It is long over-due and it will be the best one EVER! Pray that people see that Christian are just people like they are, that Christian does not mean perfection, that we all make mistakes. Pray that the Lord will touch every heart here at Gallaudet.

Like Paul said, (Romans 1:16)
"I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of God to bring everyone to salvation." (ASL Paraphrase)
For a couple more of translations:
New Living Translation: (Romans 1:16-17)
"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.“"
New King James Version: (Romans 1:16-17)
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”"

What exactly do we have to be ashamed of? If we were ashamed of Jesus, then what good is our faith? What is the point of calling ourselves Christian if we were ashamed of Jesus?
If we are not ashamed, then why do we not share the gospel of Jesus Christ?
That is up to you to decide.
You have been given freely, the salvation, the gift of Jesus Christ. Do you keep it for yourself? Joy only comes when you give freely as well. Freely give the love, the grace, the joy and the peace Jesus have given to you.
Jesus loves you, and wants you to choose Him because only with Him, you will have the full peace and full joy. Only with Him, you are able to experience life  fully. Jesus fills the emptyness of your heart.

At Alpha tonight, I remembered what I felt before I asked Jesus to forgive me and take me as His child.
I remember feeling empty, even though I enjoyed my friends, doing what they were doing. I never felt satisfied, always wanting more. But my friends had nothing more to offer.
Only then when I found Jesus, I experienced this overwhelming peace, joy and fullness of life. I did not feel alone anymore, I did not feel empty, and I certainly did not feel uncertain.
There is nothing in the whole world I could do to make myself satisfied. It is only a free gift from Son of God (Yahweh) that could fully meet all my needs.

Whoever reads this blog, I pray that you take this in thoughtfully and I encourage you to examine your own life. Are you still looking for something to fill in that emptyness in your heart? Are you trying different things to get rid of that emptyness? What is it exactly that is missing in your life? Just think about that.

I pray that you find it.

Mucho Amore!
Dios Bendiga!!!!!! <3

Am I still young?

Am I old enough? <---I think this question is wrong. We should be asking ourselves, ---> "Am I still young?"

Just a question.

I was looking back on my old blogs, and I could see that I have grown a lot. You know, when a baby stop looking like a baby. My second niece, Rayne, looked like a baby when I left for Gallaudet. I got back and now when I look at her I see a little girl. Rayne does not look like a baby anymore. This is what happened to me. For the past 4 years, I have grown from a baby to a little child.

Nearly 3 years ago, I was so rearing to move out to the mission field, because that is what the Lord has put in my heart. However, the Lord knew I needed some (a lot) training first. Over the time, I have received the training I needed by life's experiences. Then now, to be completely honest, I am still wanting to go RIGHT NOW, then at the same time, the reality of life around the world comes to my face, taunting me. I can feel fear rise. Know what? When the Lord calls, He calls. Why do we let the fear of the world control us? "What would people think?"

If the Lord told me right now to leave my family and home, and to go to the field RIGHT NOW. What would I think? What would YOU think? "But I have school." "But I have work." "But I am afraid." "But my friends suggest to not go." "But," "But," "But...."
We like to say Buts, or should I say "Butts". Heh.
I will let you know, there's no butts about it. When the Lord calls, He calls. Your answer will determine your future, and that shows how committed you are to the Lord, your Master.

Know this though, when the Lord calls, He shows you the future, does not always mean RIGHT NOW. Sometimes we are still so young, we need to learn to take a step first, then we would be able to run. We cannot run without learning to walk.
I have seen and experienced first hand, running without learning to walk first. I can tell you, the stumble is not so pretty. I jumped ahead without waiting to hear from the Lord first. Yes, He has called me to the mission field, He has put in my heart the deep desire to serve others, and I have jumped. Thankfully, the Lord sent me people to teach me to walk first. I have come up from stumbles with scratches and bruises, but these scratches and bruises taught me well, only because of Jesus.

When the Lord calls, He calls. As you grow, you will know His voice better and clearer. And that is when He calls, if and when He says NOW, you will know.

"Am I still young?" I would say, "Yes." That's not a bad thing, it just means I still have a lot to learn. A lot more growing to do. It does not matter how many years you have got in Christ, you are still young. You still have a lot to learn too. It is how you grow.

Love you all!
