A few weeks until the New Year, a few weeks until school starts again.
I've always thought my dreams would have been achieved by now.
But that is not the case.
The past week particularly has been difficult for me, seeing others' dreams being achieved but not my dreams.
I'll be honest, I felt like my dreams were being abandoned, not by me, but by the Creator of me.
Then yesterday, flying back to school alone on the Christmas day.
The Lord showed me the truth.
Jesus was born for one reason only.
To reconcile us to Himself.
And the only way to do that was to die.
Jesus was born to die.
And for what reason was I born for?
To glorify Him.
To have a relationship with Him.
The Creator of the whole universe wants to have a personal relationship with me??
That's why He is love. He invests in His creation, us.
The biggest investment He made was Jesus.
The first of my dreams should be to have the very best relationship with Jesus.
Everything else comes second, not even a close second, but a million miles second.
God being who He is, He wants to give us our heart's desire, He does that by blessing us with Himself and with all good things.
I should not concern myself with my dreams not being fulfilled,
He is putting them on the back burner for the time being because He wants to have my undivided attention.

The Real Beauty
Looking in the mirror, I see a very slight line across my forehead.
Ever so slightly is crow's feet developing around my eyes, thinking, I sure smile a lot.
I also see a thin and light smile line near my mouth on the left side.
I'm seeing the consequence of age.
I'm not even 30 and I understand the reality of what many women talk about when they say they don't want to get older.
Beauty.
I just read this post:
http://www.boundless.org/2005/articles/a0002553.cfm
It shows me that we women were made of beauty, for beauty and to be beautiful.
In the post, it shares the truth: our (women's) beauty comes from the Creator who is Beautiful Himself,
and in this broken world, our outwardly beauty fades quickly.
And we don't have any beauty on the inside separately from the Lord.
And I was thinking of myself, I want my inner beauty to last forever,
not just for myself, or for my husband, but for the Lord, who Himself is Beautiful.
Thinking about my beauty, I certainly don't feel beautiful, but I know I am,
Because The Creator made me beautiful, from inside out.
Because the Lord lives in my heart, and I desire for His beauty to shine through me.
Men enjoys beauty, which is why men seeks beautiful women just about more than ANYTHING else in the world.
Women wants to be THE beauty, which is why women seeks men who will tell them that they are beautiful and would do almost anything to BE beautiful.
Beauty speaks to our heart.
However the ONLY True and Lasting Beauty is Christ.
I pray that all of you women who read this, seek Beauty in Christ, He alone will satisfy your soul and tell you that you are beautiful EVERY DAY.
Men, have reverence for women, cherish them (this means desiring modesty in women), never seek to degrade them and more than all, love them to Christ. This is how men can enjoy beauty without destroying it.
Oh, about them wrinkles that are developing on my face?
I never thought of a face lift, but I did something for the first time yesterday (which I'm kind of embarrassed to share, but share I will!) I pulled back the ends of my face to see what face lift would look like, and I saw my lines disappear. And then I wouldn't look my age. I would be deceiving myself. Reading the post above made me think more deeper. I want my beauty to come 100% from Christ.
So, the wrinkles? Let them come. They tell of my years on Earth and that is perfectly wonderful with me!
We are blessed with many years, so why complain about having any wrinkles?
I know my wrinkles are beautiful to the Lord, and they certainly will be beautiful to my husband!
Let them come, they don't defy my inner beauty which is from Christ!!!
