Abandon my dreams?

A few weeks until the New Year, a few weeks until school starts again.
I've always thought my dreams would have been achieved by now.
But that is not the case.
The past week particularly has been difficult for me, seeing others' dreams being achieved but not my dreams.
I'll be honest, I felt like my dreams were being abandoned, not by me, but by the Creator of me.

Then yesterday, flying back to school alone on the Christmas day.
The Lord showed me the truth.

Jesus was born for one reason only.
To reconcile us to Himself.
And the only way to do that was to die.
Jesus was born to die.

And for what reason was I born for?
To glorify Him.
To have a relationship with Him.

The Creator of the whole universe wants to have a personal relationship with me??
That's why He is love. He invests in His creation, us.
The biggest investment He made was Jesus.

The first of my dreams should be to have the very best relationship with Jesus.
Everything else comes second, not even a close second, but a million miles second.
God being who He is, He wants to give us our heart's desire, He does that by blessing us with Himself and with all good things.
I should not concern myself with my dreams not being fulfilled,
He is putting them on the back burner for the time being because He wants to have my undivided attention.
