Update #3

So, it’s been overdue. I’ve been really delinquent in updating my blogs… *sad face*.
Anyways… There’s only 3 weeks left in the project, that’s crazy! Being here for the past 7 weeks have really been a life and character transforming experience. I know there are things that will always stick with me, it being etched in my heart.
It’s awesome, the Lord used me to lead 2 person to Christ. Never before I thought I’d be used to lead anyone to Christ, and here, the Lord proved me wrong, showing me His power.
It’s truly awesome, I feel like Paul somewhat, I suppose. Being bold in the faith and share Christ everywhere I go, this makes me think how I can take this experience back to school with me, creating Godspace wherever I go and grow in my love for Christ and for others around me.
The people I’ve developed friendships here on the Project will always be with me, treasuring Jesus together in our friendship and having this harmony that I’ve never experienced before. It’s this profound spirit connection that can never be severed because we are one in Christ and that’s exciting!
Honestly, I’m scared for the Project to end, but it has to, or otherwise I wouldn’t be able to share Christ at school. The Lord have used the Project to equip me for many things to come, and I know that only through my experience here at the Project that I will be able to do things that the Lord has planned.
I’m excited, also, because I’ll be a 2nd year RA!!! For the Freshman dorm!!! What’s the most awesome thing about the job is that I wanted to be a RA for the freshman the first time I got hired last year, but over the time, I felt discouraged and decided to not to try for it for the 2nd year, however the Lord redirected my heart, showing me that it was His plan all along, planting the desire the first time I got hired. So I’ve been thinking and planning things I want to do during the year for and with my residents, and I’m truly excited! My brain’s still brewing with many ideas. If any of you have any idea that I might have not thought of, please do feel free to suggest! [Via private messaging…]
It’s funny how the Lord worked out for me to get the RA job, I’ll tell you in another blog later, as for now I’m wanting to focus on the Project.
Anyways.. Long train off the track… Back to the point.
So, a little more of the detail of what I’ve been up to recently.
I went to Philadelphia this past weekend, having my Deaf immersion relief, as I live in a house with 46 other students, all hearing, and learning sign language. Difficult, no? It’s truly a faith stretching experience for me, and I absolutely love it! Anyways, Philadelphia… I met Mercy and Pepsi, both from RIT, and I love these girls! They’re awesome, their love for Christ is evident, and I SO look forward to work with them for God’s Kingdom! Please be in prayers for Gallaudet’s Christians, and for Gallaudet to experience Christ in ways that never have been experienced before.
Now, about the awesome experience being immersed with 46 other students, who all are hearing and about 1/3 of them learning sign language. At first I was frustrated as I thought that there was going to be another deaf student, but praise the Lord, His plan is perfect. He has reasons for me being the only deaf student. The Lord taught me so much and He definitely taught the others here at the Project.  Some of the students here at the Project have had their heart touched by the Lord for the Deaf community and I can see the seeds taking root in their heart to minister to the Deaf, either back at their hometown or at their school. I’m excited about this! Also pray for those students who are motivated to get involved with the Deaf culture and community, the Deaf community needs to know Christ intimately and deeply.
Much ado, also, my funding has been slowly coming in, but so far it’s been on a pause for some reason. I still have $1,805 to be paid off. Much prayers and support is needed. Your support, either financially or prayers contributes a lot, even to the point of leading at least just one person to Christ! Anyways... let me know if you have any question or complains, private message me =3
So, long overdue equals a long blog. Still more to come! <3
Blessings and mucho amore,

Brother, welcome to the Family!

Talking to a stranger about Jesus, have you ever done that?

I never had. I would only talk to them if I've gotten some time to get to know them first. However, last night, all of us students teamed up in 3's & 4's and went to the boardwalk and talked with random strangers about spiritual things and introducing them to Jesus.

It definitely takes a bold faith. Because, first, by faith, we're relying on the Lord to guide us, guide our words and being open and caring to the people we talk with.

Joe, Sarah and I (along with my interpreter, Jenna - she's the best ever!) arrived at the boardwalk, and we all weren't sure where to go, left or right. I was thinking, since I went to left the last time (with Auzy), so we should go to the right. It was no question, it came to me, "RIGHT!" So to the right we went.

We walked for a bit, and came to see a young man sitting on a bench, I said we should go for him, as we sat by him, he upped and left. We felt awkward, so Joe asked for a prayer, and asked that I do the prayer. So I prayed, for God's wisdom, for His guidance, for people to be open to hear about the Lord. Then in the same area, we saw a man standing, eating a slice of pizza and Joe went and chatted with him, but it happen that his wife called him and he left.

Then we walked down the boardwalk a little more, and Joe saw a friend he just made then went to his co-worker (they work for a balloon dart game) and chatted up with the co-worker. It happened that yet another co-worker who just grabbed a cone of ice cream came back to the booth and Sarah & I started chatting with him and it turned out it was that he taught us something about the money, federal reserve and taxes. We wanted to chat with him more and inquire spiritual things because it seemed that he was going there, however his boss, an older woman, started yelling at them for not working and they had to focus on work now.
We were bummed that they had to go back to work because Sarah and I were getting into a good conversation with him.

However we went on walking, then we realized that it was getting late so we started to walk back. While walking back, I stopped to look at some paints at a pavilion, the paints that a man makes using spraying cans, it was awesome looking at the paints, I saw some new ones (I've seen them sometimes before). While there, Joe started chatting up with 3 young guys from Philly.

Then Sarah and I joined in. I shared with one of the guys Soulairum (it's a 50 card deck of random pictures) and we started chatting up about God and Jesus and all that using that deck. It ended that all the 3 guys agreed all about the Gospel and how we need Jesus to be able to come to the Father. Joe asked if they all have decided to give their lives to Jesus, 2 of them said yes. The 3rd one said he's catholic. It turns out that he never heard the Gospel as it is, so Joe asked if he wanted to know Jesus personally, he said yes! So he prayed and gave his life to Jesus, PRAISE THE LORD!

Now, we have a new brother!
I came away from this experience thinking how amazing the Lord is!
I was actually feeling discouraged prior to this, thinking how "unusable" I am, but the Lord proved me wrong!
I became encouraged, knowing that the Lord wants to use me and show how worthy I am in the Lord!

So, if you've never chatted up with a stranger about Jesus, I encourage you to read God Space by Doug Pollock.

There's one thing I cannot take out of my mind, it's burnt in there....
A new friend I made here says:
"Give them heaven".
This made me think... sometimes we're the only heaven people taste.
Think how we can give people heaven and lead them to Christ.

With that,
Mucho Amore!

Once a life

In a blink of eye,
Things I once saw,
Fades away.

In a grip,
Things I once held onto so tight,
Slips through my fingers.

Dreams dreamt,
Wonders I once chased,
Are no more.

My breath is taken away,
My strong frame weakens,
My beauty becomes nothing.

My life which once was,
Is nothing more than dust.

Romance flames,
Extinguished.

Hopes strong,
Shattered.

Promises made,
Broken.

But there's only One,
Who gives me everlasting Romance,
Hopes that endures,
And Promises for me to claim as my own.

Whatever of my life,
Once had no purpose,
Now full of joy.

Just in a blink of eye,
Life returns.

Grip strengthens,
Dreams chases me,
My whole being revived.

But only once a life.
Like a flower,
Grows and withers.

Talk about being a foreigner

Wildwood Summer Project 2011

I must admit it I love being here.
But I am the foreigner here.

I've been spoiled. Being in such a haven as Gallaudet University, where everyone signs, where all deaf people are entitled to have equal access at cafeteria, at post office, and at students' account office. Especially in classroom with teachers.

I feel like I was yanked out, I mean, really yanked out of my haven.
I live in a house with 50 other people, and all of them hearing.
All the commotion here and I hardly know what's going on.

I know I'm being a little depressing but that is how I feel.
But I must admit I really have learned a lot since I got here 2 1/2 weeks ago.

I learned that people are more willing to talk about God and all the spiritual things than people in general believe.

I'm reading this book, "God Space" by Doug Pollock. Doug explained in the first chapter that if we are willing to create a God space, where people will feel safe to talk about God and spiritual things. However Doug explained that in order for us to be able to make God space for others, we must make a God space inside ourselves first, meaning we have to be willing to allow God set up opportunities at HIS own time. There then we are able to create a God space for others.

It's just amazing how God is teaching me, so much in such a short time recently.

I'm seeing what else the Lord is going to teach me in the next 7 weeks.
People, I'm in for a ride! (=

God bless!

Only Jesus

I pray everyday that I grow more,
to love Jesus more,
to show people Jesus in my life,
and above all that I would
introduce at least
one person to Jesus.

I can say my life is not mediocre at all,
However it may seem mediocre,
I fight in wars daily,
Unseen battles fought hourly.

Through everything,
I cannot rely on human,
They can be my support,
Or be the ones who tear me down.

My heart and soul cries out for love,
For satisfaction,
for peace and above all,
For Jesus.

Why Jesus, you may ask.
Jesus, why?
He alone died for me
He alone can restore me.

Jesus alone can satisfy my heart and soul,
My complete peace is in Jesus
My complete hope is in Jesus,
And my whole life is Jesus.

I pray everyday that I grow more to be like Jesus.
Daily I desire Jesus more.

I love You Jesus.
