So, it’s been overdue. I’ve been really delinquent in updating my blogs… *sad face*.
Anyways… There’s only 3 weeks left in the project, that’s crazy! Being here for the past 7 weeks have really been a life and character transforming experience. I know there are things that will always stick with me, it being etched in my heart.
It’s awesome, the Lord used me to lead 2 person to Christ. Never before I thought I’d be used to lead anyone to Christ, and here, the Lord proved me wrong, showing me His power.
It’s truly awesome, I feel like Paul somewhat, I suppose. Being bold in the faith and share Christ everywhere I go, this makes me think how I can take this experience back to school with me, creating Godspace wherever I go and grow in my love for Christ and for others around me.
The people I’ve developed friendships here on the Project will always be with me, treasuring Jesus together in our friendship and having this harmony that I’ve never experienced before. It’s this profound spirit connection that can never be severed because we are one in Christ and that’s exciting!
Honestly, I’m scared for the Project to end, but it has to, or otherwise I wouldn’t be able to share Christ at school. The Lord have used the Project to equip me for many things to come, and I know that only through my experience here at the Project that I will be able to do things that the Lord has planned.
I’m excited, also, because I’ll be a 2nd year RA!!! For the Freshman dorm!!! What’s the most awesome thing about the job is that I wanted to be a RA for the freshman the first time I got hired last year, but over the time, I felt discouraged and decided to not to try for it for the 2nd year, however the Lord redirected my heart, showing me that it was His plan all along, planting the desire the first time I got hired. So I’ve been thinking and planning things I want to do during the year for and with my residents, and I’m truly excited! My brain’s still brewing with many ideas. If any of you have any idea that I might have not thought of, please do feel free to suggest! [Via private messaging…]
It’s funny how the Lord worked out for me to get the RA job, I’ll tell you in another blog later, as for now I’m wanting to focus on the Project.
Anyways.. Long train off the track… Back to the point.
So, a little more of the detail of what I’ve been up to recently.
I went to Philadelphia this past weekend, having my Deaf immersion relief, as I live in a house with 46 other students, all hearing, and learning sign language. Difficult, no? It’s truly a faith stretching experience for me, and I absolutely love it! Anyways, Philadelphia… I met Mercy and Pepsi, both from RIT, and I love these girls! They’re awesome, their love for Christ is evident, and I SO look forward to work with them for God’s Kingdom! Please be in prayers for Gallaudet’s Christians, and for Gallaudet to experience Christ in ways that never have been experienced before.
Now, about the awesome experience being immersed with 46 other students, who all are hearing and about 1/3 of them learning sign language. At first I was frustrated as I thought that there was going to be another deaf student, but praise the Lord, His plan is perfect. He has reasons for me being the only deaf student. The Lord taught me so much and He definitely taught the others here at the Project. Some of the students here at the Project have had their heart touched by the Lord for the Deaf community and I can see the seeds taking root in their heart to minister to the Deaf, either back at their hometown or at their school. I’m excited about this! Also pray for those students who are motivated to get involved with the Deaf culture and community, the Deaf community needs to know Christ intimately and deeply.
Much ado, also, my funding has been slowly coming in, but so far it’s been on a pause for some reason. I still have $1,805 to be paid off. Much prayers and support is needed. Your support, either financially or prayers contributes a lot, even to the point of leading at least just one person to Christ! Anyways... let me know if you have any question or complains, private message me =3
So, long overdue equals a long blog. Still more to come! <3
Blessings and mucho amore,
